The portrayal of movement is one of the many features cinema has that is unique to it amongst the arts. This movement- whether captured in-camera or with animation- is part of why we love the movies. The director is the conductor of a symphony of cameramen, sound designers, animators and many more to produce a beautiful tapestry of sensory delights (even when it’s a silent film!).
Action scenes can often define a filmmaker’s career, especially when the entire film is based around action. To name a few, James Cameron, George Miller, and Chad Stahelski have provided us with some of the most awe-inspiring stunts and effects that truly convince us of the impossible.
There are so many great scenes to choose from, we want to know what your favorites are! It can be a fight scene between two people, an elaborate car chase (as seen above), or even an all-out epic battle!

This is a unique idea for a poll. I have actually given this some thought here and there over the years, but I haven't seriously contemplated it.
I have seen Bullitt, The French Connection, Ronin, and all four Mad Max movies, and my favorite car chase is... Woody and Buzz going after the moving truck in Toy Story?! That's right. Even though it won't make my list because I am a sucker for big battles, I simply had to give that scene a shout-out.
