2025 is starting to shape up to be a solid year for film. With us being in the middle of what is known traditionally as a slow part of the year for the box office, it certainly seems not to be a slow part in terms of quality. What seemed to come out of nowhere was a new, enjoyable Darren Aronofsky crime film that seems more rooted in the crime films of the 1970s rather than the contemporary avant-garde-esque cinema that he built his career on.
