Toy Story (1995)

By Mitch McCurren

This week marked the 30th(!) anniversary of Toy Story, a beloved animated movie that kicked off a legendary streak for Pixar animation. The special anniversary served as an excuse for theaters to put it back on the big screen, so I decided to take my older kids for their first ever theater experience. I sure am glad that I did. I am also sure that my kids will be (just as the little aliens say in the sequel) “eternally grateful” that they got to see a classic in their first movie theater experience as opposed to some forgettable slop that passes for most children’s entertainment these days.
