We can either consistently choose to live our lives vainly searching for the ‘next thing’ or choose to make the most of what God has given us today, right now. Jiro, the then 84-year-old (he is still alive at 99 today) master sushi chef that this documentary follows, certainly lives his life according to the second mode. The film begins with Jiro speaking: “Once you decide on your occupation... you must immerse yourself in your work. You have to fall in love with your work. Never complain about your job. You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill. That’s the secret of success and is the key to being regarded honorably.
