HBO’s The Last of Us is truly the tale of two seasons. The first season is a great adaptation focusing on the world building and character development like the first game and really brings the game to life on the screen. The acting, cinematography, and story is very, very good in the first season. But when the second season concluded on Memorial Day weekend, one left with a feeling of frustration. As far as an adaptation goes, the show really brings the most important character and story beats from the games to life.
