The Accountant (2016)

Depending on your mood, it’s sometimes much easier to put on a movie that you already know generally what you’re getting into - something that’s not going to challenge you to think or feel too hard. Something you might be pleasantly surprised by but won’t be devastated if it’s a bit of a let down. The Accountant, directed by Gavin O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck felt like a solid match for that description. And hey, if it really hit with me, a surprise sequel just came out earlier this year. Overall, The Accountant ended up being about what I expected, a solid action thriller with a few fun scenes and performances but nothing to make it an enduring film.
