Sometimes a movie just catches you off guard. Honestly, I feel like there are only so many directions you can take a psychological thriller that’s set in space. Alien set a pretty concrete tone, and subsequent space thrillers dance to that tune. And that’s all good stuff, but it’s not a genre I would pursue on my own. Which is why I was shocked to my core at Sunshine.
