Thanks for hosting this poll, gentlemen. It's an interesting cross-section of young (presumably mostly American) Catholic cinephile taste. I was expecting Nolan and classic Pixar to do well, and they did, but I was surprised to see Yi Yi and Drive My Car place so high. Biggest shock: The Tree of Life didn't crack the Top 5; I would've put money on that happening. Anyway, interesting times, and very curious to see how the trends here develop over the next several years.

Edit: Will you folks be releasing the sample size?

Do pre 2000 now.

I think we may go backwards decades-wise, starting with the 90s. Lots of films to explore there!

Awesome to see the results! I'm happy that my blurbs for Social Network and Fury Road made it in here. It's nice to see so many of the movies that didn't make my top ten still end up here. Coens, Nolan, and Villenueve are the reigning champs of the century so far.

😳🤯😁 You mean to tell me the lambasted Attack of the Clones that I chose as my top movie didn't just get on the list but got into the top 50? I guess I'm not the only Star Wars nut case around here. Thanks for using my quote.

I'm surprised that Unbreakable (my #3) made the list and Shyamalan's religious-themed Signs (my #10) didn't. I'm also surprised how low Avengers: Endgame ranked. It didn't make my top 10, but it would have been in my top 15 along with Infinity War. Others that would have made my top 15-20 are A Hidden Life, Hacksaw Ridge, The Dark Knight, and perhaps Arrival as well.

I think most people knew that The Lord of the Rings and The Passion of the Christ would be #1 and #2. The only films I disliked were the ones that I found to be morally questionable or even objectionable. However, I can still appreciate their merits and I don't judge the people who voted for them.

Lastly, I think it's funny that the percentage of my picks that made the list (60%: Clones, Rings, Unbreakable, Passion, Sith, and Incredibles) is basically the same as the movies that I have seen overall (62%). I wasn't expecting either to be so high. Everyone, this is a great list. Thank you so much for this.

You were not the only one to put Attack of the Clones as their #1!

Curious that Endgame made it on here, but X2 and Spider-Man 2 didn't. True, it was a significant cultural moment, but so was Avatar, and that isn't on here (nor should it be).

Nolan having most of his movies on here is good and proper. I imagine his Odyssey will join the rest of his work as must-see cinema.
